What is it?
Diploma in Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings. It is a three year regular course.
Scope
After completing Diploma in Civil Engineering, a student can opt from numerous opportunities like –
Government Sector
- Junior Engineer (JE) in – MES (Military Engineering Services), BRO (Border road organisation), CPWD & PWD, DDA (Delhi development authority), Indian Railways, IOCL, Metro Rail corporation, UP Jal Nigam etc.
- Lab Instructor in Government Polytechnic Colleges and instructor in Govt. ITI.
Private Sector
Designation :- Junior Engineer, Site Engineer, Safety Engineer, Jr. Project Assistant, Project Engineer, Estimation Engineer, Tunnel Engineer, Lab Instructor etc.
